Overview
TrackMyASIN ("we", "the extension", "the app") provides Amazon SERP analytics — estimated monthly sales, revenue, BSR, pricing, and an Opportunity Score — for sellers researching niches. This policy explains what data is processed by the Chrome extension at TrackMyASIN — Amazon BSR, sales & revenue and by the companion web app at trackmyasin.com.
Data the Chrome extension processes
- Website content (Amazon SERP). When you open the extension on an Amazon search results page, it reads publicly visible listing data — ASIN, title, price, star rating, review count, and BSR badges — directly from the page to compute sales, revenue, and Opportunity Score metrics. This processing happens locally in your browser.
- Local preferences. Your marketplace selection, column order, sort settings, rows-per-page, and last-viewed keyword are saved via
chrome.storage.localso the popup restores your setup between sessions. These never leave your device. - No tracking, no analytics, no ads. The extension does not collect browsing history, personally identifiable information, health, financial, authentication, personal communications, or location data.
Data the web app processes
- Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication tokens to provide sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
- Saved searches and notes. Any keyword, marketplace, or analysis you choose to save in your account is stored in our database so you can revisit it.
- Operational logs. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) are retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.
How we use data
We use the data above solely to:
- Compute and display the metrics you requested.
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- Restore your saved preferences and analyses.
- Maintain and improve the service.
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising, lending, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the single purpose of the product.
Subprocessors
The web app uses standard infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, managed database, authentication) to operate. These providers process data only on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.
Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, after which associated data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Extension preferences in chrome.storage.local live entirely on your device and are removed when you uninstall the extension or clear browser storage.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at the address below. We honor GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA requests.
Children
TrackMyASIN is intended for Amazon sellers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
